Angels Beat Cougars But Lose to Chilliwack Mosquitos

It was a beautiful evening in the mosquito filled Chilliwack baseball stadium. All the fans, coaches and players were coated in an extra thick film of bug repellent for the first league game of the summer season.

Our boys were simply too much for the Chilliwack  baseball mosquitoes, but pretty much everyone left a little lighter as a few pints of blood were donated to the Chilliwack flying mosquitoes.

Our AAA’s started off strong with Maguire Wakelyn on the mound shutting down Chilliwack inning after inning. He was throwing all sorts of nasty pitches that they were unable to handle. This was of course followed up by too many hits to name, and outstanding base running by all our boys. The pitching powers continued on the mound with Joel Robinson and Dakota Janzen closing down the game in style.

The game ended in a mercy in the fifth inning as our boys managed to put a pretty good pounding on the Chilliwack boys. The final score was 16 – 6, and everyone left Chilliwack in very high spirits, and maybe a little dizzy from the loss of blood.
