The Peewee AAA Angels extended their summer record to 9-2 in league play and 15-2 overall with a solid 6-2 win over Burnaby on Thursday night. Starting pitcher Carlin Dick was on form and went 6 innings, effectively shutting down the Burnaby bats.  Dayton Peters would close it out. Solid defence backed up the pitching.

At the plate the Angels offence was spearheaded by home runs from Conall Sexton, who hit a solo shot, and Dayton, who had a 2 run dinger. The Burnaby pitchers had some control issues, plunking three Angels. The most serious incident sent Riley Hall to hospital, but thankfully the medical news is good and Riley is doing well.

Next up for the Angels is Nanaimo who make the trip from the Island on Saturday.  The teams meet up at Coquitlam’s Miller Park. On Saturday the Angels travel to Nanaimo Park to take on Vancouver Minor.
