Pirates Prevail Over Padres; Jays Surprise Sox

The cliche is “just make it in to the playoffs and anything can happen.”  This was evident last night in the Mosquito Playoffs as the #1 Seed in the American League was eliminated and the #1 Seed in the National League was pushed to the limit.  In the end the Pirates prevailed over the Padres, and move on to the NL Championship Game. However, the Blue Jays  eliminated the White Sox from Cup contention and take a spot in the AL Championship Game. The Jays await the winner of tonight’s tilt between the Orioles and the Mariners, while the Pirates will face the victor in tonight’s Nationals Giants clash. The White Sox and Padres are relegated to the Bowl competition.  See our playoff graphic for the full schedule.
