Mosquito Playoff News: NL and AL Shield Games

Sunday afternoon at Lions Park saw the Mosquito Shield Competition begin. In the NL Shield, the Braves took it to the Giants by a score of 19-8.  Meanwhile, in the AL Shield, the Red Sox beat the A’s 12-9.

With their victories, the Red Sox and the Braves will face off on Saturday for the Mosquito Shield.  Game time is 11:30 AM at Grant Park.

Prior to that, the Giants and Athletics will square off at 9:00 at Grant Park, each team hoping to avoid taking home the Wooden Spoon.
