Mosquito Playoff News: Cup Qualifiers

Mosquito Cup Championship Trophy: Thanks Rob Taylor for making it but not winning it!The 2015 Mosquito Playoffs got underway last Saturday with Cup Qualifier games all day long at Lions Park.

In the opener, the Mariners took it to the Red Sox by a score of 13-3.  The Blue Jays then followed that by edging the Athletics 11-8.  With those wins, the M’s and Jays advance to the Mosquito Cup Division Semifinals on Monday.  Meanwhile the A’s and Red Sox were relegated to the Shield competition on Sunday.

In the NL games, the Dodgers took care of the Braves with a 14-4 win, while the Cardinals defeated the Giants by a score of 13-3. The Dodgers and Cards advance to Tuesday’s NL Division Semifinals in the Mosquito Cup, while the Giants and Braves were dropped to the Shield competition.
