Yankees and Pirates Win to Open Cup Playoffs

The Mosquito Cup Pool Round opened up tonight with Pool A in action. The #1 Seeded Yankees defeated the Cardinals 14-9 at LIons Park. Over at Grant Park, the Pirates edged the Astros 10-8.  The 4 teams pick up again on Saturday with the Yankees and Astros facing off at Lions while the Bucs and Cards play at Centennial.

Pool B Action starts tomorrow with the Cubs hosting the Expos at Lions. Meanwhile the Dodgers and Red Sox square off at Centennial.
