Tadpole Skills Day a Big Hit!
Sunday, May 31st brought together all teams from our Tadpole Division to showcase the talents of our many young up-and-coming athletes at Little Delair Park.
Each player was run through three separate Skills Stations; Fastest Runner Around the Bases, Farthest Throw, and Farthest Hit.
Congratulations to the following winners for each category:
Tadpole 1
- Fastest Runner Around the Bases- Nathan Baerg (12.7 seconds)
- Farthest Throw- John Mancini
- Farthest Hit- Austin Meinen
Tadpole 2
- Fastest Runner Around the Bases- Wade Schweinbenz (11.6 seconds)
- Farthest Throw- Bailey Neufeld
- Farthest Hit- Nicholas Westendorp
A highlight of the day was a surprise visit from Bob Brown Bear, the Official Mascot for the Vancouver Canadians.
It is apparent that the proper development of our young baseball players is alive and well in Abbotsford. There was some strong competition and excellent sportsmanship from all players. A fun day was had by all!
