Tadpole Parents & Coaches Day
Thanks to all of the Tadpole Coaches & Parents who came out to our AAHA sponsored coaches session at Little DeLair Park! Although the turnout was smaller than we had hoped, the information was fantastic.
Ernie Wiens provided some great information on both pre-game and post-game field preparations and Todd Boulanger gave us some great tips and pointers on structuring practices and helping to develop our young baseball players.
The main focus on Field Maintenance was “Getting Everyone Involved”. This is not just a job for the coaches, it is the responsibility of every coach, player and parent in our Association.
Those who know how to properly maintain our fields need to be educating others and recruiting help to keep our fields in good playing shape.
I was blown away with the amount of great information available at Little DeLair this morning, if more people attend these FREE sessions our Association will be much stronger moving forward.
We have amazing resources available to us from within our own Association and we want to share our knowledge with those coming up through the younger divisions so they can pay it forward with proper knowledge as they eventually become mentors to the next groups coming up.
Also, a very big THANK YOU to both Ernie & Todd for taking time out of their busy schedules to share this knowledge with us this morning. We are very fortunate to have you both involved with Baseball in Abbotsford!
Look for more of these sessions as we move through the season and please make an effort to come and get involved!
