Pirates Avoid Front Office Changes
Mosquito League
Pirates 12
Red Sox 4
Amidst dark and gloomy rumors of unhappiness and unrest amongst the Pirates faithful, the coaching staff avoided their pink slips on Friday night as they pulled off a convincing and much needed victory over the Red Sox. With a seemingly solid resume of previous seasons, word on the street was that coach Wakelyn and Ashton simply ‘lost their marbles’ this year.
Huge praise went to the Pirate players as they dug deep and played their best game of the season – apparently unwilling to witness grown coaches cry.
The victory seemed to quell the riotous parent group or at least stall their unrest – yet witnesses claim they saw the protesting banners neatly stowed away for future use.
Game highlights include an amazing left field catch by Josiah and a brilliant double play by Harrison and Julian.
Game note: The absence of coach Coleman was noted on the game sheets and will likely lead to a league issued two game suspension or at very least a forfeiture of salary.
