Opening Day for 11U Mosquito!

Opening Day for the AAHA 11U Mosquito Spring League was warm and sunny, creating perfect conditions for the first baseball games of 2016. As usual, Lions Park was the venue for Opening Day. However, for the first time, Centennial Park, adjacent to Lions, also hosted a Spring League Mosquito Game. It was a festive atmosphere and we look forward to a spring of many more baseball games going on side-by-side at the Mill Lake diamonds!

In the opening game at Lions Park, the Royals defeated the Red Sox 14-7. The the second game at Lions, the Astros edged the Cardinals 7-4. Meanwhile, in the debut game under the lights at Centennial Park, the Pirates and the Yankees tied at 7.
