Ladner Fall to Angels

awing2013Last night the Mosquito Angels defeated the top ranked Ladner Red Sox in league play by a score of 10-5 

Mikey Milne drove in three runs as AAHA ANGELS AAA TIER one MOSQUITO 11U took home a 10-5 victory over Ladner in six innings at Ladner on Wednesday.

He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Josh Siemens got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over four innings. Josh S struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.

Ladner jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. A single by #15, scoring #26 started the inning off.

AAHA ANGELS AAA TIER one MOSQUITO 11U never trailed after scoring four runs in the third on A two-run double by Mikey and an RBI single by David Draayers.

AAHA ANGELS AAA TIER one MOSQUITO 11U added two more runs in the top of the fourth. A bases loaded walk scored Treyson Smith for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by Micah Bucknam‘s single, bringing home Sam Jones.

After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the fourth, Ladner faced just a 6-3 deficit. An error and an error fueled Ladner’s comeback. But, Josh S got #20 to fly out to end the inning.

AAHA ANGELS AAA TIER one MOSQUITO 11U piled on four more runs in the top of the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Mikey singled, plating Austin Tuckwood.

Two runs in the bottom of the fifth helped Ladner close its deficit to 10-5. and a groundout by #22 gave Ladner life. #18 struck out to end the Ladner threat.
