Disappointment For Peewee AAA

Well it wasn’t to be for the PeeWee AAA Angels as they fell 7-5 in extra innings to Cloverdale in the semi final on Sunday at the Provincial Championships in Prince George.

In a tight battle of epic proportions, the game had 5 lead changes, great pitching and defence, and a dramatic walk off home run from the Spurs.

The Angels scored 2 runs in the top of the seventh after being down to their last strike twice before Kaiden Cardoso came through with a clutch 2 strike single to tie. After holding Cloverdale in the bottom of seven, Abby scored 1 in the top of 8 on a terrific finger tip slide by Kyle Stewart to take the lead 5-4. Cloverdale’s top of he order was up in the bottom of 8 and didn’t disappoint with CABA players Liam Vulcano doubling before Demiamo Palmegiani walk off home run sealed the deal for Cloverdale.

It was a tough loss for the Angels but a game for the ages nonetheless. Abby finished the season 21-7.
