Buying a batting helmet? Make sure it has a chin strap.

A reminder to all players, parents and coaches from the BC Minor Baseball Association:

Some models of youth baseball batting helmets are now being made without the chin strap fastener button on the outside bottom of the ear flap. (eg. Easton Stealth  helmet.) All teams must be aware that as per Rule 20.02  chin straps must be worn on all batting helmets for 7U, 9U, 11U and 13U divisions. Any player going up to the plate to hit without a chinstrap will be asked to put on a chinstrap or change helmets to one that has a chin strap.

This rule applies from T-Ball all the way into Peewee.
