Braves Blitz Orioles
Braves 11
Orioles 9
Rain was on the forecast for much of the day, but the weather cleared to allow the Braves and Orioles to play their much anticipated match up on Wednesday night at Grant Park. The Braves were very eager to get a win for their coach Paul’s birthday against the AL leading Orioles.
The Braves bats were ready as they scored 7 runs in the first 2 innings. Conner Krahn led the Braves offense during the game by getting on base 4 times and scoring 3 runs, while Lockhart MacGregor, Aiden Cutrell, Jared Nivins and Tyson Sauve each reached base 3 times.
Five Braves pitchers (Lockhart MacGregor, Conner Krahn, Brendan Bussiere, Jared Nivins and Aiden Cutrell) shut down the potent Orioles offense only allowing 9 runs over 5 innings. Dakota Janzen led the Orioles offense reaching base 4 times to match his school classmate Conner Krahn, but Conner’s Braves team were able to secure the win for their coach’s birthday. Marcus Bell was the Braves Pita Pit Player of the Game for his hustle throughout the game and his always cheerful attitude.
