Tadpole Report: The Orioles machine continued to roll with another victory on Wednesday night, this time against a feisty Yellow Jackets squad.

Armaan Dhaliwal made his pitching debut in the 1st inning, battling hard against some determined hitters. Ronan Sexton took over in the 2nd and racked up 3 K’s in a shutout inning. The Yellow Jacket defense made some very nice plays, including many outs at 1st base, to frustrate the Orioles batters. But the O’s stuck with it and eventually the hits started to find the gaps and the distance to drive in runs. The team was missing a few key players and had to play one man short in the field. The Yellow Jackets were also shorthanded, prompting them to recruit Orioles Bat Boy Cian Sexton.  He took

over in Left Field and made his presence known early and often.  A highlight came late as Cian’s brother hit a line drive to deep left-centre.  As Ronan tried to stretch it into a double, the little brother gathered the ball and came up throwing. He got the ball to 2nd Base just as his brother arrived.  Had the Yellow Jackets been able to lay down the tag, there may have been an unbearable car ride home for one family
