Big Night For Brothers
Darren and Isobel Gairdner had a tough choice to make on Thursday night. Their son Trey was playing for the Orioles in a big Tadpole 2 game against the Green Giants at Little Delair. Meanwhile, older son Mason was in a playoff game at Lions Park for the Mosquito Nationals. As parents usually do in this situation, it was a case of “divide and conquer.” Too bad they both couldn’t be at both places at once. The Gairdner boys each hit in the winning runs in their games. Mason had a triple to score the 8th run in an 8-7 Nationals victory over the Pirates. Meanwhile Trey, the bottom of the 6th and final inning, with his team trailing by one run, hit a two-run homer to win the game. What a night for the brothers!
