Bantam AAA Angels Take Two in Kamloops
The Bantam AAA Angels had a one day road trip to Kamloops on Sunday. They made the most of the long drive with a couple of convincing victories. In the first game the boys jumped out to a big lead early and cruised past the River Dogs by a score of 17-1. The second game was closer for a bit longer, but in the end the Angels ran away with a 10-1 win.
The team had some strong contributions from many different players, including Ty Hall who was strong at the plate and in his spot at Second Base. All four pitchers who took the hill were solid: Seth Hebeler, Travis McDougall, Kaiden Cardoso and Carter Harbut.
The Angels now have just two games left in their regular season schedule, a double-header with the Richmond Chuckers at Townline on July 5th.
The boys currently in sit in 2nd Place Overall, and look forward to the upcoming “Elimination Tournament” in Ladner starting on June 25. That tournament will determine which BC Baseball teams head off to represent our province at tournaments in Wisconsin and Washington in July.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Championships are set for White Rock on the August Long Weekend. There are some other strong teams out there standing in the way, but the Angels certainly have their sights set on vying for a Provincial Championship.
