Bantam AA Update
Our team has had a strong start to the season. They are a great group of kids, and they are competing/working very hard for each other. We made it to the final in our first tournament of the year in Washington State losing 8-7, having the tying run thrown out at the plate to end the game (the boys played a great game). We currently sit in 2nd place in the league with a 7-2 record. We have had very good pitching so far (back to back 1 hit complete game shutouts from Kim and Peranio last week), and we are getting strong offensive contributions throughout the lineup. One of the highlights of the season so far was the opportunity to participate in AAHA’s Challenger Baseball program this past Saturday. Each of our players served as a buddy to each of the Challenger players for the game, they really enjoyed the experience and a great time was had by all. Kudos to Tim Hall and all volunteers for getting this program started in Abbotsford, it is something to be proud of.
We are on the road for the next 2 weeks, with league games in Chilliwack, Richmond and North Langley, and tournaments in Washington State and Tsawwassen.
