Annual General Meeting Recap

Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s AGM of the Abbotsford Angels Hardball Association. The attendance numbers were the best we have had in many years.  Each member of the Board gave a report on what has been happening in the last year and touched on the plans for 2016. The highlight of the night was the Board revealing its intention to spend the next few months on a major restructuring of the Executive and backing this up with new Elections in February of 2016.

In the meantime, most of the current Executive let their names stand for re-election; all were unchallenged and elected by acclamation. One new member, Derek Giesbrecht was elected as T-Ball Commissioner and another longtime member, Brian Krahn, was elected as the Fields Director. Ernie Wiens changed portfolios from Fields to Treasurer.

A huge thanks goes out to two longtime Executive members who have retired. Loralee Harbut steps down after several years on the Board as the Treasurer. And Aki Morimoto steps down after many years of service in various positions, including Fields, and most recently, T-Ball Commissioner.  Thanks goes out to them for their gift of service to the AAHA and the baseball playing kids of Abbotsford.
