Angels Take Silver at Bantam “A” Provincials!

The Bantam “A” Abbotsford Angels won the Silver Medal at the 2014 Provincial Championships in Burnaby this past weekend. The boys had a fantastic season in a division that is historically very difficult to compete in for teams from larger associations. After finishing second in league play in the Lower Mainland the team went into the Provincials full of confidence.  The boys won their pool, going 4-1 with victories over Newton, Surrey/New West, Kamloops and Comox, dropping just one pool game to the host Burnaby.  In the Semi-Finals, the Angels defeated White Rock 12-3.  The Provincial Final featured the Angels in a matchup with the Campbell River Tyees.  The game was oh so close, with the Tyees edging out the Angels by a narrow 12-11 margin.
