Angels Romp Over Ridge
Following a familiar script, the Peewee A Angels jumped to an early 11-0 lead over Ridge Meadows and hung on to win 15-8 in another strong league performance that improved their record to 3-0. Max Masztalar started the game off right, pitching three scoreless innings with Riley Hall and Kole Jessamine pitching well in relief. At the plate the Angels also started strong with an over the fence home run by Luke Szmutko in the first inning but the game was essentially won in the second with key doubles by Jaden Ostrom, and Hunter Klassen, capped off by a deep triple hit by Hall that gave the Angels the early dominant lead. Cameron Evans had a great day leading off as Lucas Messer knocked in four runs while Nicholas Messer and Jessamine contributed with 2 hits a piece as well. In fact every player had a strong day at the plate. Defensively, Brayden Krahn made some key outs and also continued his status on the team as the only player not to strike out this year.
